I've been so busy this week, I've only had the chance to write this today. It's the Blake's 7 characters on Gauda Prime done with much of the plot and--I hope--the style of Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome. His character Roger is so like Vila, I couldn't resist. If you don't know the books, just think 30s British children's adventure story.

Title: Rebels and Amagons
Fandoms: Blake's 7 / Swallows and Amazons
Characters: The season 4 crew plus a couple of others from the series.
Rating: OK for all.

Oops. Haven't been keeping up with this as much as I meant to.

Snippet Title: Subtlety Is Not a Word In Our Vocabulary
Fandoms: House MD, playing around in the His Dark Materials universe.
Author: Starlingthefool
Disclaimers: don't own a damn thing.
Pairing: House/Wilson
Rating: Enh. Teen for swearing and man kissing.

This was written as a standalone piece a few months ago, in which House et all have daemons. I'm planning on doing a more comprehensive (and longer) story set in the same universe as Lyra Belacqua and all of them inhabit.

Find it here.

Drake's Venture is a movie based on the circumnavigation of the globe by Sir Francis Drake 1577-80. Solaris is a movie by Steven Soderbergh based on the seminal novel by Stanislaw Lem. The main draw was to slide Drake and Doughtie into the Kelvin and Rhea roles, but mixing Tudor politics and Russian sci fi took on a life of its own...the snippet contains adult language and implied m/m.

The Firefly version of Jane Austen's "Emma" although I don't want to spoil the surprise of who winds up with whom.
Summary: Although Companions are trained to guard their own emotions, some of them develop harmless weaknesses…like a fondness for matchmaking.
